Google held its big hardware event on August 12, 2026. Instead of waiting for the evening show, the company shared news early and opened pre-orders for several devices. The headline act is the Pixel 11 series, which runs on a new Tensor G6 processor and a system Google calls Gemini Intelligence. The Pixel Watch 5 also got a refresh. And for the first time, Google has its own Bluetooth tracker: the Pixel Tag. Let us walk through what matters for each product.

Gemini Intelligence is not just a marketing name. It can understand what you are doing and step in to save you time. One new tool is called Rambler. You can speak your thoughts in a messy, rambling way, and Gemini will turn them into polished text. If you need to send a long message while walking to work, you can just talk and let the phone clean it up.

Another big change happens inside Google Messages. Say a friend texts asking when your flight lands. Normally, you would leave the conversation, open your email or airline app, check for delays, and then come back. With Gemini Intelligence, the phone pulls up that flight information automatically, including live status and a shareable tracking link. The same idea works for restaurant suggestions and calendar invites. If a friend mentions dinner, Gemini can bring up a Google Maps listing. If someone asks if you are free next Friday, it can surface a Calendar prompt.

Privacy is a real concern here. Google says it built Gemini Intelligence around three principles: giving users control, protecting their data, and being transparent. Those promises matter because the system needs access to a lot of personal context to be useful.

Circle to Search is getting a useful upgrade. You can now use Translate directly from the Pixel Camera app. Point your camera at a menu, a street sign, or a product label, hold the home bar, and a translation appears. This small change could be very helpful while traveling.

Live Translate is also smarter. The Pixel 11 can automatically dub supported audio in real time. That means if you are watching a YouTube video or listening to a podcast, the phone can translate the speech on the fly. The Tensor G6 processor powers this feature.

The Pixel 11 line uses Gemini Intelligence and is driven by a more powerful Tensor G6 chip. Together, these features aim to make everyday tasks faster without forcing you to jump between apps.

The Pixel Watch 5 looks similar to last year's model, but there are real upgrades inside. The watch now comes with 64 GB of storage, double the previous amount. The battery is larger too. The 45 mm model has a 465 mAh battery and can last up to 40 hours with the always-on display. The 41 mm model uses a 332 mAh battery and gets about 30 hours. With Battery Saver mode, the 45 mm model can stretch to 72 hours.

Both sizes use a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor. The displays are 60 Hz AMOLED LTPO panels with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. They are protected by custom 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The watch cases are made from 100% recycled aluminum.

There are several color options. The 41 mm model comes in Matte Black, Polished Silver, Satin Pyrite, and Champagne Gold. The 45 mm model comes in the first three colors. There is also a special edition created with NBA star Stephen Curry. It has a Satin Pyrite case and a Rye Performance Loop Band.

Google updated the At a Glance feature on the Pixel Watch 5. This new version appears at the bottom of the screen no matter which watch face you choose. It shows small bits of useful information, like the gate for your next flight or the number of stops left on your bus route. The information appears in a curved pill shape. You can tap it to expand the details, and Google says you can also open it with a hands-free wrist gesture. Swiping right collapses the info back to its compact form.

This new At a Glance does not take up a complication slot. It is exclusive to the Pixel Watch 5 at launch. We do not know if older watches will get it later.

After years of waiting, Google finally has its own Bluetooth tracker. The Pixel Tag costs $29 for one or $99 for a four-pack. It uses Android's Find Hub network to help you find lost items. It is Google's answer to Apple's AirTag.

The design is oblong rather than round or square. But there is a strange choice: the Pixel Tag does not have a built-in hole for a key ring. You will need a separate holder or accessory to attach it to your keys. That is not ideal for a gadget meant to be attached to things.

The Pixel Tag uses Ultra Wideband (UWB) for Precision Finding. Instead of just telling you that your keys are nearby, the phone can show directional arrows to guide you right to them. There is also an accelerometer that can detect when the tagged item starts or stops moving. That can trigger motion alerts on your phone.

You can even use a compatible Pixel Watch or Pixel Buds to ring the Pixel Tag. So if you are wearing your watch and need to find your keys, you do not need to pull out your phone first. The battery is a replaceable CR2032 coin cell that lasts more than a year.

There is a catch: you cannot buy the Pixel Tag until November 11. That is a long wait for something Pixel owners have wanted for years. Apple's AirTag has been on the market since 2021, so Google is entering this space very late. But if the Find Hub network and Precision Finding work well, the Pixel Tag could be a strong competitor.
